My name is Daniel Trigger, a published singer/songwriter/producer/performer with over 20 years' experience, and my aim is to provide a comprehensive service to other artists and bands that spans writing, recording, promotion and other tools to help launch or accelerate your music career.

Let me make a clear statement from the start - I love music. I love listening to it, writing it, performing it, producing it, and being involved with it in any way I can, which means I will treat whatever project we work on with the care and respect it deserves. Also, since I have been on both sides of the mixing desk, I have an understanding of what is needed to get the most from a performer through a relaxed environment and constructive input, and also the recording techniques and considerations to get the best sound from a band.

Whether you are an experienced artist or band, or just beginning your music career, I am here to help. If you are just starting out as a solo artist and need to record a demo, I can create a quality product for you. If you wish to record an original song, I can provide material to choose from, or create a backing track based on a song idea you may already have. And for the bands, I can record your material to a professional standard in the comfort of a venue of your choice, and then master your tracks ready for commercial release. And if you need the input of session musicians to add some real gloss to your recordings, this can be arranged.

MUSIC BACKGROUND

I have been involved in music pursuits for over 20 years, and have considerable experience in composition, performance, recording and production. Please read for the details of my music background:

Musicianship
I am experienced in playing piano, electric guitar and bass guitar. My primary instrument is my voice, where I studied singing for 4 years, and have took the microphone in all my rock bands since the age of 15. My admittance to also playing violin for many years at school will do nothing for my rock credibility.

Performance
I have performed in numerous rock bands over the last 20 years, the most note-worthy being "Trigger", which ran from 2003-2011. All projects allowed me to hone my musicianship - in particular my voice - and with Trigger I covered tracks from the rock elite such as Journey, Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Queen, Led Zeppelin and Bon Jovi with helped establish me as a vocalist.

My live performances run into several hundred, and I have performed under the most extreme circumstances, ranging from backstreet clubs to sold-out theatres, and from outdoor festivals with a 22,000-strong crowd to the back of a moving lorry in the middle of a hailstorm. Really.

Composition
I began writing songs at the onset of my career, and have been either the sole songwriter or collaborator in all of my projects. My early years were spent writing stadium rock in the style of Bon Jovi and Guns N Roses, but I have since broadened my writing style to areas such as pop and dance.

Aside from other band releases, I have recorded 3 solo albums, "Believe In Me (1997)", "Wheels In Motion (1998)" and "Full Circle (2003)". With Trigger I recorded 4 albums, "Call To Arms (2005)", "Fight The Machine (2006)", "Dawn Of A New Knight (2007)" and "Furious Times (2009)", from which some tracks are still available through this website.

However, my piece-de-resistance as a songwriter is my new album "Infinite Persistence (2012)", which took over 2 years to make, and takes my rock writing and performances to a new level. THE album is available through this website, please take a listen and download a copy if you wish!

I am a published songwriter, and had one of my tracks "Standing Tall" used in the 2006 film "Infinite Justice". I also won Best Singer/Songwriter in the 2005 Midlands Guitar Hero competition, and have received radio airplay for my songs at local, regional, national and international level.

There are examples on this website of my songs that I have arranged into more than 1 genre of music, and am always happy to re-arrange existing songs or write new ones to suit an artist's needs. I am also happy to collaborate with an artist who has the basis for an original song, but needs assistance realising and recording their ideas.

Recording & Production
I felt the necessity to learn the art of recording and producing after I would spend months saving to hire a recording studio, only to have the end result sound nowhere near as good as my peers such as Queen and Bon Jovi.

So out of frustration, I started out borrowing the school's 4-track cassette recorder to produce my own demos to the standard I wanted, and was later among the first to buy a digital 8-track when the technology became available.

Since then, I have upgraded considerably more, and produce my recordings using Cubase 5 with Mackie monitors and T-Racks 3 mastering suite. I remain suspicious of engineers that feel the need to list all their equipment down to the last jack lead, as no amount of gear will take the place of good song arrangement, proper microphone placement and an ear for "what sounds right". And rest assured, I have those skills.

I have produced my own recordings for 20 years, and am also experienced in recording demos and albums for other musicians and bands. You can hear examples of my production skills in all of the songs on this website, and can read testimonials from previous customers.
